| We did a memorial day 5k. First i warmed up twoish miles with Sarah, then waited around for the race to start. Once it started, all the walkers went to the outside where we were supposed to run, so i was constantly going on the grass to get around them. It was annoying. Then i cooled down half a mile and we took advantage of all the free bread! |

| So it was pounding rain, and Sarah and I had taken refuge under the bleachers until people showed up. Then we went to the oval, and I did 22 laps to equal six miles. |

| AM- 3 miles with Sarah (sorta) PM- we went up sunnyside to the shoreline trail, then followed that until the red butte water fountain. The whole way there I could feel the tostadas I ate in my last class a half hour before the run, so I decided to turn down to take the legacy bridge way back instead of the full run. I'm not sure how long it was so I'm just going to guess 5 miles. |

| This morning we did a 5k called the Linda Butters Memorial.I Warmed up around 1.5 miles with Sarah. I liked the course okay, but I wasn't that happy with my time. Afterwords I cooled down 2 miles with everyone, and got awards. Chrissy and Sarah got some pretty sweet trophies for winning. |

| AM- 3 miles, slow and awful. I am glad that I gave my foot time to heal though, because it didn't bother me much at all during the run. I just find it frustrating that whenever I try to work hard everyday at the workouts and actually see improvement, something starts hurting and then I'm back where I started. |

| First day of summer practice. We did a mile warmup around the pond, then the state course. I think the hills on the course aggravated my foot a little bit, but other than that it was okay. I might do two or so miles later today, but for now, i have to go take my drivers permit test! PM- 2 miles. Incredibly cool and pleasant. I passed my permit test, hooray! |

| My brother and I did a 5k in south jordan today. We got there a little late, so I only warmed up a half mile. I felt like I was giving it a pretty good effort, passing people on the down hill and such, but my time was crap so apparently I wasn't going that fast. Also, my brother and the guy in the lead took a wrong turn because the race people hadn't even set the course markers yet so that cost them the race. I cooled down to four, then we drove over to wasatch to watch the team finish their 5k, and I did their cooldown with them. I need 3.5 miles to get to my mileage, so i guess I'll go after dinner. PM.- 3 with Sarah! Its always a fun time when you can't see the sidewalk in front of you because of blinding headlights. I still needed a half mile so I did a lap and a half around my block. |

| Today the team met at the peace garden. Everybody ran out twenty minutes and back. I liked this run because we had a small group of people, and it was nice and relaxed. Then we did step ups and leglifts and ten strides, where we had a very (cough) interesting cheer squad. Then we cooled down for ten minutes, and Eden, Stormy and I rounded our miles to six. | |

| Quick two miles to test my new shoes. I didn't like them. I didn't realize they were stability shoes, but when I ran in them I could feel the two different densities of foam and it was uncomfortable, so we're returning them on Monday. I'll probably find a more neutral kind this time. |

| Didn't go to practice today because of my foot. I'm sad because it sounded like a nice workout. I really hope it gets better quickly, so I won't fall behind the rest of the team. I've been icing it a lot recently to help with the swelling. |

| I did a half hour on the stationary bike, and it was a much harder workout than I thought it would be! I'm too short to run in the pool with the belt on, so i guess the bike will be my primary exercise and I'll just swim for fun. |

| We arrived in Arcata, CA today. I went swimming at the hotel pool when we got here, and I'm now back to doing my usual spastic bouts of racing to the car, a tree, etc with christopher without much pain in my foot. It was painful though when i was running full speed and he came up behind me and pushed me to the ground. Don't be fooled by outwardly calm demeanor, he's a freakin bully! |

| So today we were doing a hike in the redwoods, and I decided that I would run the first part and walk back down if my foot didn't hurt too bad. Turns out it felt pretty ok. This was without a doubt the best run i've ever done, because it was so beautiful and the weather was perfect for running, the high for today waas 59. The redwood trees went up and up for hundreds of feet but you could only see halfway up because the trail was blanketed with a thick layer of fog. On the way back I was kind of tired of hiking and got lost a little so it wasn't as pleasant but all in a a swell day. |

I felt much happier today and I was especially pleased because I had this run in my head and hoped we would do it. Afterwords I did only one 300 and I tried reasonably hard to catch Becky who was two people ahead of me. Finally a big grasslap. |

| Am- I had a really good time during the morning run, because it was cool and dark and pleasant. The breakfast was also very good. We went up to foothill then down past the hospital and back on 13th, and added eight hill strides. Pm- I really hate running on the track! We did a mile warmup and a mile of speed changes, then a mile repeat, then I did a five minute repeat and an 800. |

| Today we did the grass Relays in American Fork. Because of the wait for the restroom I didn't get to warm up at all, but thats all right because sometimes I think I do better with short warmups. I didn't race very hard on the first lap,so I tried to go faster on the second lap. My time seems slow to me, but then I factor in the haybales and my lack of running over the summer, and it seems ~okay. |

| Oh hello blog! Its been a while! Today was the wahsatch Rendezvous at the cottonwood complex. Before the race I jogged around a little bit to wake up my legs and then we started the race. The race seemed to go by really quickly and I actually had a pretty good time running it, and I had a good finish moslty because I saw Elizabeth and I wanted to catch up to her, which I did. As for my time,it was still unsatisfactory but I'm glad my times are coming down and hopefully I'll be running a lot quicker in the near future. |

| The conditions were great for my race because it hadn't started raining yet, and I felt good the whole time. There was a point during the beginning when it was really crowded that I was at almost a complete standstill, and at some spots I felt like I needed to speed up but I couldn't because there were too many people to navigate through, but other than that it was a fun race and I'm glad I took it seriously. |
